From the age of 16 I spent 22 years in the Royal Navy as an Engineer.  Throughout this time I gained various qualifications including a HND in Electro-mechanical engineering, 18th edition wiring regulations, Health and Safety qualifications and various project management qualifications. I gained a lot of practical experience along with an expectation of a high quality of work.  Alongside my career in the Royal Navy I have always had a passion for all things DIY. I have renovated three houses and have always been on call when family members needed things renovating, fixing or improving.

When I left the Navy in 2018, I found it difficult to find my place in the civilian world, not really a desk job kind of man, I struggled to find the right job that offered variety, hands on work and the attention to detail and high standard I had become accustomed to. After long discussions with my wife, I launched Bisley Handyman Services because I realised that being a Handyman really fulfilled my passion for helping people with all kinds of jobs that many businesses just were not interested in doing.  I love using my experience and knowledge to help out with the jobs that you just don't have the time, tools or know how to do yourself!

Since the offset of Bisley Handyman Services, it has been extremely popular and busy.  It got me thinking, why?  Why me, what do I offer that others don't?  After asking for feedback it became apparent that it is my attention to detail and quality of work that keeps my customers coming back time after time.  I believe that if I would not be happy with the standard a job is completed to, then why should my customers be.  Many customers have also commented on my punctuality, reliability and willingness to go above and beyond to understand and fulfil their needs.  I guess to me it is second nature because of my background.  When I am not helping out my customers I like to spend time with my wife and two Fox Red Labradors and my second "full time job" of looking after my allotment plots, chickens and ducks.
